The inspection of Canadian oil and gas pipelines requires specific technical skill sets, combined with a demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of the CSA Z662 Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems. The Z662 is a National Standard of Canada and is referenced in all federal, provincial and territorial pipeline regulations. Understanding of both the content and correct application of the Z662 from a regulatory perspective is critical to successful and compliant pipeline installations.
Focusing on the concepts for pipeline inspection specified in the CSA Z662-15 and the processes detailed in the API 1169, this Intermediate level course provides students the tools required to conduct various inspection processes and procedures in a competent manner. The course reviews regulatory requirements from both National and Provincial Authorities Having Jurisdiction, followed by a focused review of the Z662 and API 1169 Inspection requirements. Successful completion of this course provides the necessary prerequisite for wishing to write their QC Inspector qualification exam.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and CEU credits.
Schedule begins at 7:40 am with coffee and sign-in. The seminar runs 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks as well as a 1/2 hour lunch break with the meal provided. The course will address the following topics:
