Intermediate to Advanced Level – Training Course – $1198 plus tax
(Course Cost $1198, plus tax. The CPAC qualification exam can be written immediately following the training. The fee for the pipeliner examination and registration is $300 plus tax)
Who Should Attend
This training is crucial for all staff and contractors that will be involved in the company’s internal or external audit processes.
This is an intermediate to advanced level course.
Applicants must have completed:
- an entry level course offered by CASTI, CSA, NASA or PIECE; or
- an ISO 9001 Fundamentals certificate; or
- carry a level 1 CPAC qualification

Canadian Oil and Gas Pipeline Systems are required to be designed, constructed and operated in accordance with strict processes and procedures detailed in a Safety and Loss Management System. To ensure that the system is are performing at the highest levels, the CSA Z662-19 requires companies to conduct regular internal audits. Companies are also required to conduct audits of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to assure overall integrity of the process. Both internal and external audits rely on the competence of their audit team members.
This training focuses on the intermediate and advanced level knowledge sets required for pipeline professionals to participate in both internal and external auditing processes for their organizations. The training prepares students to write the auditor exam and also provides the prerequisite for those wishing to obtain advanced training and qualification as lead auditors for their organizations.
Participants will receive a Course Completion Certificate and CEU credits.
Schedule for both days begins at 7:40 am with coffee and sign in. On day 1 the seminar runs 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and includes morning and afternoon coffee breaks as well as a lunch break with the meal provided. Training on the second day runs from 8:00 am to 12:00pm and includes a coffee break and lunch for those writing the Canadian Pipeline Auditor Exam. Exams begin at 1:00 pm. Regulatory authorities, when conducting incident investigations and external audits of pipeline companies, will typically review the results of internal audits and the credentials of those conducting the audits. Training and competency is a mandatory element. This course content is designed to familiarize personnel with the requirements and processes to allow effective internal auditing and the development of internal audit reports.
